Marion, Montana
The Great Northern Railway created Marion in 1891 as the terminus of a short spur line that ran west from Kalispell. Located just off of U.S. Route 2, Marion was initially used by railroad workers building the railroad line into Kalispell. Nearby Lost Trail National Wildlife Refuge provides a diverse habitat for various bird species, as well as deer, elk, moose, black bear, lynx and wolverines.
